This Saturday (5th November) at the Saltcellar Folk Club we are please to welcome Sandy and Graham Ball.
Sandy and Graham have been performing together for nearly twenty years and have developed a broad repertoire of traditional and contemporary songs from Britain and the US, as well as songs Sandy has written.
Graham is well known for his subtle accompaniments, which flow through his instrumental skills on guitars, mandolin and cittern. Sandy is a highly regarded singer, with a beautiful voice, who also plays guitar, dulcimer or whistle to add an extra richness to many of their songs. Together, with their lovingly crafted arrangements and warm vocal harmonies, they create a spellbinding musical experience that appeals to wide range of audiences.
Doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £6. Floor singers and musicians are invited to perform during the first part of the evening. Performances will be on a first-come basis so get there early and make yourself known!
The Saltcellar is in the basement of Totterdown Baptist Church. The entrance is on Cemetery Road, off Wells Road and access is down a flight of stairs.
A coffee bar will be selling coffee, tea, soft drinks and homemade cakes. The venue does not have a licence to sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks. Bottle openers and glasses will be provided. The Co-op just a few doors downhill sells wine, beer and cider.
