A Great Night in the Saltcellar!

We had a fantastic evening on 5th November where we were greatly entertained by Sandy and Graham Ball from Wiltshire with their beautifully performed songs, both self-penned and interpretations. We also enjoyed a fine array of floor singers and musicians.  Many thanks to all those who sang and played.

Our next meeting will be on 3rd December. We are pleased to welcome Kate Lissauer as our main guest. Kate brings her knowledge and love of mountain, bluegrass and folk music to life through a passionate instrumental and vocal style.

Further information about Kate is on her website - http://www.katelissauer.com

Finally, a reminder to all lovers of folk and acoustic music in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire that Sunday at 1pm is the time to tune into your local BBC radio station, to listen to Johnny Coppin's excellent show.

Sandy and Graham Ball at the Saltcellar Folk Club

This Saturday (5th November) at the Saltcellar Folk Club we are please to welcome Sandy and Graham Ball.

Sandy and Graham have been performing together for nearly twenty years and have developed a broad repertoire of traditional and contemporary songs from Britain and the US, as well as songs Sandy has written.

Graham is well known for his subtle accompaniments, which flow through his instrumental skills on guitars, mandolin and cittern. Sandy is a highly regarded singer, with a beautiful voice, who also plays guitar, dulcimer or whistle to add an extra richness to many of their songs. Together, with their lovingly crafted arrangements and warm vocal harmonies, they create a spellbinding musical experience that appeals to wide range of audiences.
