We had another wonderful musical evening on Saturday 3rd March with the largest audience since the Club re-started in September last year.
Thank you very much to all the excellent singers and musicians for providing a wide range of music from the floor which made the evening so enjoyable. The evening was rounded off in fine style by our guest artist, Si Barron. He demonstrated great talent on the guitar and (a first for the Saltcellar) the harmonium. It was a delight to hear his interpretation of many traditional songs, and to hear some of his own compositions. There is no Folk Club evening in April as this would clash with the Easter weekend. The next Folk Club will therefore be on Saturday 5th May which will feature The Raven - Stephen Moncrieff (guitar/vocals) and Carolyn Forbes (vocals/flute/guitar) http://theraven.me/home , and hopefully another set of superb floor performers.
