American Folk Lights Up The Saltcellar

We had another wonderful evening at the Saltcellar on Saturday with the talented Kate Lissauer who delighted us with her fiddle, guitar, banjo and her beautiful voice. We also heard high quality performances from other folk who sang and played traditional and new music and, a first for the Saltcellar, we were treated to some dance!  The Saltcellar Folk Club is going from strength to strength. Thank you very much to all who came and took part, either on the stage or in the audience, and helped to create a most enjoyable musical evening.

The next Saltcellar Folk Club evening is on 7th January and it will be a singaround with performances from the floor. If you play or sing, this is your chance to perform in front of a friendly audience. If you enjoy listening to music, then come along to hear what promises to be a range of folk styles – there will undoubtedly be opportunities to join in too. As there is no guest artist, the cost of admission will be reduced to £1.

Before then, why not enjoy some seasonal folk music: Johnny Coppin brings his "All On A Winter's Night" show to Colston Hall 2 on Saturday 10th December (see  http://www.colstonhall.org/whatson/Event2623).
